Being Brave and Loving at Work
What does leadership look like that prioritizes people and planet?
We are wanting a deeper sense of place, belonging, and purpose that is beyond the superficial, materialism, and individualism. People of every generation are being beckoned into a new way, a new mindset, a new operating model in which we can bring our whole and best selves to work and the world. We are in a pivotal time of change and it will require each one of us to transform individually and then together.
Conscious and inclusive leaders have a greater sense of purpose than the bottom line; they know that leadership is about serving and following a call to elevate work and the world.
A conscious and inclusive leader:
- leads with integrity, accountability, and authenticity
- honors the humanity of all their employees and clients
- is committed to the higher good of the workplace and the world
- cultivates the ability to respond vs. react to ups and downs
- takes ownership for their mistakes, then forgives, repairs, and finds resolution
- creates a culture of psychological safety and invites team members to bring their whole selves to work
- fosters an environment for trust, belonging, and collaboration
Conscious and inclusive leaders are from across sectors; corporate, nonprofit, academia, healthcare, arts, services, government, and military.

Jennifer Brown
Diversity and inclusion consultant and author of How To Be An Inclusive Leader
Our ability to surf or sink amidst the waves of change all depends on having a strong inner game. Your inner game rules your outer game.
The inner game is the core of who you are. These are the qualities on the inside that determine how you show up on the outside at work, with your family, friends, and colleagues.
All leadership begins with self leadership and self management. We must do the inner work to cultivate a strong “inner game” that will then support the collective transformation of greater empathy, compassion, healing, and belonging. Join us and learn how to be a conscious and inclusive leader at work and in the world!
